Why a SpaPedicure?

Pedicures can be a good way to help keep your feet healthy, looking and feeling good. A pedicure cleans feet, provides nail care and foot massages.

There are some things too consider when looking for a good pedicure. All instruments should be sterilized to prevent the spread of fungus or disease. A pedicurist should be licensed and make you feel comfortable. If you are not at ease with your pedicurist, you should not proceed with the pedicure.

10 Things About... Topical Anti-Aging Ingredients

With the vast array of high-tech ingredients and the plethora of skin care brands from which to select, it is easy to be overwhelmed by all the choices. Lately skin care formulations are looking more like a supermarket or health food store. The spa market has clearly embraced formulations that are based upon food ingredients or nutraceuticals. Alongside all of these products remain the AHAs that have revolutionized the aesthetic industry in terms of the treatments and results they can offer.

Melasma

Along with aging and acne concerns, uneven pigmentation is one of the most common complaints skin care professionals hear in the treatment room. Changes in skin pigmentation can occur due to many different factors and can be the most difficult issue to tackle in the treatment room.

Perhaps one of the most challenging pigmentary conditions to treat ismelasma, a common disorder of hyperpigmentation that affects more than five million Americans.

Melasma predominantly affects women with Fitzpatrick phototypes III through VI, or those with ancestry stemming from equatorial regions where ultraviolet radiation (UVR) is highest.

I Don’t Want A Turkey Neck. Do You?

Here’s a vocabulary lesson for you: “wattle.” It’s the wrinkly skin that hangs down from the neck of certain animals – like turkeys. I’ve been thinking about wattles lately, probably because it’s that Turkey time of year. And also because the neck is an area on women that shows signs of age prematurely: wrinkles, deep creases, rough texture. That’s why we created V-Neck Smoothing Creme – think of it as an anti-wattle wonder that targets deep neck creases and crinkly weathered skin, chin-to-cleavage. It’s fueled with potent anti-wrinkle peptides, moisturizing hyaluronic acid and a powerful pigment lightener. So enjoy this holiday season knowing the only one at the table with a wattle is the one on your plate.

Life always has its fair share of changes. Over the years, I found that working with affirmations helped me through the rough times and helped me build a new, higher state of consciousness into my life. Not too long ago, I took an advanced workshop with Dr. Joe Dispenza, one of the main speakers interviewed in the film What The Bleep Do We Know? I learned that our minds trigger certainenzymesthrough our brain that send out

Sun Protection That Considers Your Overall Health

When the drug review began over 30 years ago, the focus was predominantly on UVB protection or sunburn protection. The recommendation was skin that was unprotected would cause skin cancer and premature aging. So, chemist began formulating sun blocks and sunscreens that touted an SPF (sun protection factor) claiming that by applying these solutions one could stay engaged in outdoor activities longer without damaging the skin. The American Academy ofDermatology and the Skin Cancer Foundation have emphasized the best way to prevent skin cancer was to use sunscreens with a minimum of SPF 15.

Holiday Party Beauty to Look Great All Night

For fabulous lips, first apply lip liner and fill in your lips with the liner, apply lipstick, blot, reapply lipstick, and then gloss. Reapply gloss throughout the night as needed.

To keep eye makeup from ending up under your eyes: first, apply foundation or cover up to lids, apply atranslucentpowder to soak up excess oil, and then apply eye makeup; second, instead of black mascara, curl lashes and apply clear mascara; and finally, to make a bolder statement, glue on a row of fake lashes and skip the mascara and eyeliner altogether!
